Stand-up comedian Swati Sachdeva has disappointed netizens with one of her recent acts. A video of Sachdeva has surfaced on social media in which she is seen making a humorous yet controversial statement about her mother. She talks about an incident when her mother found a vibrator in her room and then struggled to initiate a conversation with her about it.

Swati mentioned that her mom was trying to “act cool" but struggled to talk about the vibrator fearing it would turn on. The comedian also said that to avoid embarrassment, she told her mother that the vibrator belonged to her father. To this, even her mother told her that her father has a “better taste".

Soon after a video of Swati’s performance surfaced on social media, a section of netizens reacted to it and expressed disappointment. While some called her words “vulgar", others bashed her for disrespecting her mother publicly.

One of the users urged PMO to take action against such comedians and wrote, “Shameless…sharmnaak. Thodi bahut hansi majaak chalta hai par ye to ab had hi kar rhe…@GoI_MeitY @PMOIndia need to ban or restrict the content in these shows." “Khud ko famous krne k liye perents ki koi respect nhi hai," added another. “#Shame. In the name of comedy and independence some women are defaming the whole community," a third comment read. Several other users also called Swati’s act “disgusting" and “filthy".

Interestingly, this comes at a time when comedian Samay Raina has also been facing legal issues for a controversial comment by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in his show, India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, during an episode of the show, allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question involving body parts and proposed an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. The outrage peaked when he posed a controversial question: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?"

Both, Samay and Ranveer, have been facing multiple FIRs in the case now.
